Hello, everybody,
Just to let everyone know that if you are using those large propane gas tanks ( the ones that are delivered in those small trucks parked by supermarkets) and pay OR3 to have them replaced once the gas runs out, please check the date on the new ones- it is in the upper part of the gas tank. None should be more than 15 years old ( according to the gas man) as the ones that are, are deemed unsafe and cannot be replaced. I, unknowingly, had an out-of-date one put in several months ago, and today they refused to replace the old tank because it dated as far back as 1990; therefore, I had to pay OR20 for a completely new tank to be put in its place.
Just a word to the wise. Please always check the date to avoid both the safety hazards as well as the unnecessary high expenses resulting from having to *purchase* the new one. |
