Hey person from Toronto, I will be around Bellavista that time (16th Sept). As well I am pretty sure your TD (Toronto Dominion?) banking card will work in Santiago.
As for the rest of you I am still up for meeting for a couple of drinks. Let us meet at the Bellavista Hostel on Sept the 8th at 7 pm. If this doesn't work for most people then please post a reply and we can pick another time!
See you all at the Bellavista!
Saludos,
Stephen |

Ok so 7pm tommorrow night then? Wow thats the first 'normal' time of meeting I have heard... the Chileans I know here never move until at least 11pm! Where is the Bellavista hostel? I have not been down in Bellavista before and don't know the area.
Cheers! |

To get to Bellavista Hostel: Take metro to Baquedano (Plaza Italia). Cross the bridge and walk 2 blocks down Pio Nono Street. Make a right on Dardignac street and walk 2 more blocks.
I don't believe the hostel has a sign, but people should be congregated outside-ish around 7pm. See everyone there! |

You can enter Chile under a tourist Visa, then find a job. Most of the good schools will help take care of the work visa once you have a contract. By Law they all should take care of this for you. You get your work visa by mail by filling out the paperwork. No lines. |

I arrived in Santiago yesterday and would love to meet up with somebody who has a teaching job or wants someone to look with I'm staying at the Bellavista...in a room with 2 guys...weird...went out to a salsa club last night and one of my roomates got beaten down by some chilean punks but other than that its cool. Can anyone meet to give me the lowdown?...the meeting should involve beer. |
