hey, just wanted to know, is there anyone out there who had Italian citizenship prior to moving to Italy ro teach, I have an Italian passport due to being born to Italian parents and spending the 1st few years of my life living in Italy. Therefore I will not need a permesso di soggiorno etc. I was therefore wondering, what do we need to do when we arrive in Italy? how do we obtain a carta di indentita'? how do we register and what do we do?
Thanks guys! |

Look at the expats in Italy and Italy Magazine forums - all the info you might need - or search the archives here... |

I got my carte d'identita` in the town where one of my parents is from...since it is smaller than one of the big cities...i used my address outside Italy and that was fine...I went to the Comune.
I believe that you could get it in the town where you end up living.
