. . . at your CURRENT school? Not how long in China. It would be interesting to know how many people stay long term at one school or move from school to school on a frequent basis. As always, please feel free to add comments as you deem appropriate.

I'm on my 2nd contract (so, one year +) and everything is peachy . . . so far.

Starting my 4th year in China.

(okay, okay, I can't change the poll now (or if I can, I don't know how), so let's say the 2nd choice should reflect anywhere from a few days up to a few months (but certainly less than a year) and a few months would certainly mean you are not all that new to China now.)

None of the choices apply for me. I started my job a couple of months ago, and before that I had been at my previous job for a bit more than a year, out of more than three years in China.

Starting my second year. After 4 years incountry, this is the first school where I've been comfortable enough to sign for a second year. It's not a lucrative deal, but I'm comfortable here.

Been in my current job (not a school - a multinational company) about 4 months. Previously worked for myself for a year. Before that I was with a school for over 4 years .............. out of a total of 11 years.

Kev, what about those of us who have not been at our current job for a year and about to start a second but not for a few days either? I've been at mine for 6 months now.

Kev,

Can you add another option.

I'm unemployed in China.

(I'm happy to be unemployed, and i'm unemployable)

Thanks.

No, I'm sorry, I can't add another option. Once you find a job, you can take part in our poll. Check back with us when you are gainfully employed, won't you? Cool

Just started my 2nd year with the school, and it was a big mistake to stay.

I am in my fifth year in China. I was at one school for one term, one school for 4 years, and now I am starting at another school in a different city. Decided it was time for change.

I hope people are reading the original message CAREFULLY before voting . . . how long at CURRENT school, not how long you've been in China in all. Explanations in your personal message are fine, of course, but vote for the length of time at current school, okay? Girl Scout, why is it a mistake? I signed on for a second year at my previous school and it too was a mistake I regetted all that school year and was glad to get out when it was over.
