Hello all,
My friend Andrea and I recently arrived in Santiago, Chile with plans to teach TEFL, and possibly become certified at the TEFL Acadamy, if we have a difficult time finding work with a company that doesn`t require certification. We`re staying at the Residencial Londres (54 Londres), and since we plan on staying in Santiago for some time, I was basically wondering if anybody would want to meet up in the next few days for a chat/drink, or whatever. We both love the city immensely, but we`re also feeling a bit homesick, and would like to meet some new people in the ESL field to hang out with and establish connections. We`re basically free every day for the next week, assuming we don`t find work in that time, so drop me a line. |

We got here Thursday morning. We`re actually booked with job/apartment-hunting matters tomorrow and Tuesday, as of right after I posted the original topic, but Tuesday night thru whenever works for me. I may be doing the TEFL Acadamy thing as well, if I have a difficult time finding work (obviously not till October, though), but get back to me when you wanna meet up. Bellavista is a pretty rad place to go for drinks + chatting, as is Barrio Brasil, but I`ve no preference. |

Yea, watch yourself on the edge of Bellavista at night. Rolling Gringos is a great pass time after a few drinks. Stick with groups and out of the darker corners. |
