Hey All,
hehehe.
Exactly, NOBODY has.
Thats impossible, all the EFF's DOS offices are vacant. The DOS position is only for show. Don't you know they only hire Senior Teachers?
Nobody including EG is willing to admit they have worked for EF as the DOS.
All the DOSes come out of the closet, reveal yourselves. |

Hasn't EG repeatedly stated he worked in management, as a DOS, at EF?
Are you saying that aint so?
C'mon EG, 'fess up.
Inquiring minds want to know. |

Read the OP's lines above KES, before you begin your "teasing" on!
Have you worked as an EF Director of Studies before KES?
Now, it's time to "fess up" what your motives coming on here are

Mitch, the few EF DOSs in China that still sit in that office there are either too busy to come out here or affraid. The EF Head Office in Shaghai has "an eye" out here on forums. Although I do expect a couple of those regular forum users that were once DOSs to come out here. They started a rather interesting "EF recruiting" on their own.
By the way, I've sent a pm to the OP, even though I still am waiting for a reply. It's been just a couple of days I guess, so I'll wait.
Peace to all friends, enemies
and
cheers and beers to the hard working FTs in China

| I applied and was contacted by EF in London by a woman named Nadia for a DoS position in China. Very odd it seemed, they keep calling me for weeks and then their phone lines were disconnected, their internet site went down and I never heard anything again. Emails have never been replied to, no contact has been re-established in over a month. I really wasn't that interested in working with them because I like my current McEnglish but I though it would good see what color the grass is on the other side of the fence. I am heading to Beijing in a little over a months time anyway, so no harm no foul, but really very strange. |

| I went through the preliminary interviews, paperwork etc for the dos position in march, was accepted , got turned over to one post which was then reallocated to somebody already working in-company and since then .......BUBKISS. I rather feel that they dont, in fact have the vacancies advertised. Of course if they're actually offering you a job...... |

EG, the vast majority of FTs in China don't visit these forums. Nothing is proven by who is, or is not, on Dave's. The fact of the matter is that while this place can be a good source of information, it isn't as important as some seem to think.
I know several people who used to work as DOSses at EF, and when I worked there there was a DOS. These elusive creatures do, in fact, exist. |

English, I am sure your motives are as sinister as any ones on this board...you have constantly fed misinformations about EF in the form of blanket statements about the operations without once illustrating what happen to you to make you go after this franchise with such pious delight..
How about you fess up and reveal what your beef with EF is and why your were fired in the first place...
The DOSs I have know come from the rank and file..according to HR..these positions are promoted from within.. |

Guys, the EF English First HR gets paid for supplying Directors of Studies to the individual EF centers. In China, the Shanghai's EF Head Office's HR gets 5,000 RMB everytime.
Once, the Shanghai's HR recruited a DOS for one EF center in China. The center's Center Manager decided to fire that DOS a couple of months later then. When I met that Center Manager at the EF conference in March 2004 in Shanghai, he was so loud about it. He recounted the story how he fired his DOS to quite a few DOSs and CMs there. That CM was not only unprofessional but also an absolute nutcase. Well, the EF Head Office voted him for THE EF CENTER MANAGER OF THE YEAR (what a medal of honour) at that conference there.
Regarding that recruiting guys, EF centers want to do it all on their own. That way they not only save the money, but also get what/who they want. Mind you, they have their own ideas, "standards", requirements, and sometimes even contracts
Now back to this one
