Greetings. Maybe somebody here may know how to assist me in this.

I was wondering how I could obtain my great-grandparents birth records and marriage documents. They were born in Italy during the 1860s and married in the 1880s, I believe. I also believe they moved to the US near the turn of the Century, or shortly there after. Unfortunately, I do not know their exact dates of birth or the towns/cities in which they were born. I do not know THEIR parent's names, either. Do you have any ideas how I can go about getting their birth certificates and marriage documents? Any assistance or information you can lend is definitely appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

there is no way you will be able to get these documents without knowing teh city. once you know teh city, approximate dates would be enough. but in italy, all is dependent on knowing the town you need records from. if you find out the town, you could then write to the town--there are many web sites with form letters available to write in italian--or you might be able to use the microfilm records of teh lds church.

good luck!
