Hey there...

HAve any of you rascals or rascal-ets ever taught for the British Council. What do you think of this organization. I've heard good things as in they're very reputable, teachers are well supported and the like.

Also IH for that matter. I'm thinking of moving on in the next 6 months... 3 years in china 'i got itchy feet!!!'

I know there's a lot on this site about various international language schools ie EF, Web etc.. How do BC and IH compare?

all the best Very Happy

I think you must be British to work for the BC..I don't know if you are or not. I'd like to join them but I'm Irish, and they don't accept us, or dogs for that matter.
Though if i had been born 20 kilometres to the north, then I could acquire a British passport and work for them, but alas borders do apply

I used to work for the BC a few years back. There were British, Australian, American... and Irish teachers there. No dogs though.

They pay well, but they make you earn your money. And they never let you forget they're paying you well, either. It has a very old-school FO feel about the place, which I didn't enjoy (I wasn't the only one, either).

But there are certainly worse places to work - it'll be well resourced, well level tested, have small groups of motivated students and professional colleagues.

My advice would be to go for it.
