Where are some of the best beach/resort areas in Asia? I'll have relatives visiting me in January and I'd like to use that as an opportunity to vacation someplace beautiful. We're not looking to stay at a Ritz or anything, but a nice Western hotel in a beautiful setting would do the trick. Any ideas? |

What country are you in? What countries will/can your relatives visit? Asia is a pretty big place. Are you willing to go anywhere? |

I will be living in Thailand. I'm not sure where yet, but hopefully in a coastal town south of Bangkok such as Hua-Hin or Surat Thani. We'd probably prefer to go someplace in Southeast Asia, preferably not Japan, China, Taiwan, etc. I'm thinking more along the lines of Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, PI, Thailand, etc. |

I think Vietnam has some very nice unspoiled beaches - not all easy to get to mind. |

cool word.
I suggest doing your research on a site dedicated to travel, instead of one dedicated to ESL/EFL teaching.
This is a good one:
