Konbara has been around for about six months or so. Word to the wise. Units not used within a month will be wiped out. Also if you think you can save up your units and then not have to buy any for a few months.. :wink

Think Again.... They will cut you off and you loss all that you have saved.

Really? How often do you have to buy credits to stop being cut off?

The last I heard was that if your account is inactive for over three months,
then kiss your line fairwell.

I can't believe so many of you guys didn't know about this. Don't you speak to Turkish spouses, friends, students if you don't understand Turkish?

What do you do when you get these messages from Turkcell? ignore and delete them?

Anne Alex told me about it, and she was told about it by her friend's daughter. I do try to read them messages, but I get confused and whenever I ask my Trk friends about them they're always like 'Boş ver' o zamam boş veriyorum. I've been boş vering for a long time. I shan't boş ver no more though.

I don't know any Turks who use credits-- they all get billed.

Yes. Every day I get 2-3 messages from Turkcell and 2-3 from Bonus Kart. They're usually crap and I never look at them. Though with that volume of messages, it's like they're my only friends, and very devoted.

There are also advantages to joining the "gencturkcell" group, all messages to fellow members are only one unit with various other offers from time to time. There's one at the moment that gives free 2 hours talking time or 200 sms to any member who tops up with 250 units. Another was to get 1000 messages for a month in exchange for only 100 units.

I can't remember how to join but the details may be on the Turkcell website (which is available in English).

ps You do not have to be "genc" at all, they accepted me!
