Hello all,
About a fortnight ago, whilst drinking at an ex-pat bar in Mianyang, someone remarked to me that recently there has been either a "toughening up" of the ways in which the existing Thai "retirement visa" regulations are enforced - or, entirely new regulations have been introduced. My informant also said that he heard that some people have not had their visas (normally, of 12 months validity) extended.
Has anyone heard of any recent changes to the "retirement visa" programme ? What is the current situation re government regulations pertaining to those (retired) foreigners intending to reside permanently in Thailand ?
Thank you !
