|
|
Hello all, I will be moving to either St Petersburg ir Vilnius next month, and I'd like to know what is in store for me vis-a-vis my 'middle class' apartment. I have read some previous posts on this board and none have spoken of the issues that are most important to me, namely:
*What will the bathroom/shower be like? Will I even have a shower?
*Will the sockets work?
*Is it all possible to have wi-fi or broadband internet service at my home? If not, are there cafes that are wi-fi 'hot spots'?
The schools furnishing me the apartments are ILS in Vilnius or Language Link in St Pete. My getting an idea of what to expect will weigh in my decision.
Thanks for your answers. |

I've seen Langauge Link cursed around here from time to time.
Most likely you'll have a standard bathtub with a showerhead. It may be primitive showerhead and faucets.
Most likely most of your sockets will work.
If the apartment has been seriously renovated in the last several years it will probably be acceptable.
No idea on the wifi. People do use bluetooth here, and seems like most everyone has a cell phone and mp3 player, but...dunno.
Good luck! |

Have you been offered a single apartment or a shared apartment in Vilnius? |
