Hello to all. I am considering teaching in Japan, but I really don't want to be in a huge major city with hundreds of thousands or millions of people. But it seems that all of the jobs I see posted are in big cities. Does anyone know of of any nice smaller cities or towns of about 100,000 population or less? Any info appreciated. |

There are countless cities that fit your criteria. So think about things like climate and proximity to bigger cities to narrow it down. And then just go where you find the best job! Most mid-size or smaller japanese cities are actually fairly similar to one another. |

I agree with kdynamic. There are countless cities and job advertisements. I find it harder to get a good full time paying job in Tokyo, Osaka or Nagoya than I do in a small town. Since there are not too many guijin in small towns, companies are willing to pay more and provide subsudize housing! |
