I just got a job offer from Georgia, they pay for the flat and utlitles and give a return flight to London once a year. They'll also get my husband a visa.
My question is this, and I know it's vague. ABout how much is the average salary there? What is the life like in Georgia?
Thanks a bunch |

I don't have any direct experience...but I do read the news. Maybe I'm being ignorant here, but I think Georgia is something of a hotspot for violence and is currently involved in disputes with Moscow. I haven't any idea how this would affect daily life there, if it does at all, but there is a problem with trade with Russia which I expect is affecting the economy negatively.
On the upside, they have nice wines and some natural beauty spots that produce water (none of which can currently be exported to Russia, by far their biggest trading partner). |

Yeah. Where's my Borzhomi?? Waaah!!
Seriously, Georgia sounds like it's going to be in some upheaval for the coming year. I'd think about it before accepting. |

Georgia is a wonderful place to live and work. The current spat with Russia is a non-issue.
The people are the friendliest I have ever encountered, and it sounds like you have a very good deal with your school. PM me if you have more questions-I hope to welcome you soon! |
