Hi,
Well the construction noises were a bit noisy sometimes yes. They may have sorted all this out beofre you get there though. The alternative accomodation is concrete rooms nearby the lake but not on the lake. But there's just a chance they may have finished some of the cabins before you get there...
The course was fine though.. I recommened you take the opportunity for a few Thai massages on the weekend breaks as it will get rid of some of the stress!
Don't let anyone tell you it's a waste of time doing the C.E.L.T.A. I disagree. There are quite a few jobs in many countries where you will not be considered if you don't have one. Ukraine where I want to work for example. You will get better jobs because of having the CELTA and the course itself will give you a few pointers that should help you better yourself as a teacher after the course... Even if it's just a few minor ideas or things that you pick up then it's worth it.

| yah, i was in the same class as kparsons (hi kparsons!) eek, this and this might be of interest... (i just remembered nov 6 was also the same date that celta began for me last year) ;p |
