I may try Thailand again after being burned out with Korea. I have a degree, not a TEFL certificate though. I know the pay is not good, but I have some savings, so I figure I'll be all right.
It looks like there aren't many jobs, or not many good ones. Do most people work at just one job, or more than one? Maybe 2-3 part-time jobs is a good idea? I don't really know the scene there as I haven't been there in about 5 years. |

I would check out the jobs board on Ajarn.com as it will have a lot of jobs on offer. You will have absolutely no problem getting a job, but paperwork could be dicey, requirements are in a state of flux.
Do you have any particular area of Thailand that you are interested in?
More questions? You have some great advice on this forum. Normally I sugest the The Ajarn Forum but it is kind of crazy right now so you would do well to avoid or check out the teaching board on Thaivisa to get more information on the ground in Thailand. |

It would be more advantageous in October. The new (government) semester starts in the beginning of November. So get here mid Oct, get some digs, a phone and a map and then start knocking local school doors. |
