Ok, first let it be known that I use Dave's ESL Cafe to search for job openings (AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO), but can anyone please refer me to some other sites to search for openings besides Dave's and TEFL.COM for EFL teaching positions in the Middle East, particularly the Emirates and Oman?
THANK YOU. |

You might try google for job sites. I know that the old TESLJB - the original job site on the web that used email, even before Dave's - has moved over to a Yahoo group, but it has few jobs and concentrates mostly on the US. There is TESOL and TESOL Arabia, but you likely have to be a member. There is the Guardian and Higher Education Jobs. All the old standbys...
The reality is that for ME jobs, the best choice is still Dave's... and/or going directly to the employer websites... (or attending TESOL Arabia). Some of the best places ONLY recruit through their own websites. The smaller, more obscure websites will have the riskier jobs. If they are too cheap to pay for a web ad on the major sites, you know where the teachers will rank...

If you want a decent job in the Middle East you need to find out out who are the main employers, learn about the organization and then apply direct. Waiting for a job on Daves or TEFL.com can be frustrating. Try the British Council for example, ELS, Higher Colleges of Technology, ADNOC (ATI). |

What's happening Wigwam...... you did not mention the 'best' employer of all- The PI and it seems the latest word on the street is that they are planning on opening a High School next year and probably no Masters required. |
