I wish I knew this sooner, but supposedly if you want to change money back to the currency that you had before you came here, you need the receipt.
You can also change with a Z visa, but only a certain percentage
That receipt is only good for six months.
My advice: Change your money to RMB and keep the recipt, once you get paid, change your RMB back to your money. |

If you have money you cant change legally, there is always the black market...usually some guy or gal hanging around outside your local Bank Of China quite openly offering their services...it sounds dodgy, but you can find a long termer with a regular contact if you are worried about getting ripped off. |
