I don't know about that - some things are entirely predictable. Pushy parents, students that go to so many extra courses and classes that they can't stay awake in any of them, Alice in Wonderland directives from the education department - all these are part of life's rich tapestry that I encounter on a daily basis.

well, I didn't get paid today.
How's that for BS.
It's my second month. The first month they paid on time.
My payday is the 5th, which falls on a Sunday this month, so they should have paid me today, friday the 3rd.
My supervisor tells me the parents of the PTA are going to have meeting tonight to discuss my salary, among other things.
Whatever, I have been teaching ESL for 21 years and I have never had so much trouble with pushy parents.

Run FORREST RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chester,
thats one way to put it, but i think the story of forrest gump goes much deeper. I guess I see my self in an analogy to him in that all I have is a basic BA degree(I know forrest didnt have one, but lets face it I didnt get a masters in applied linguistics from harvard) , and the will to keep moving and teaching esl because its all I know(just like he and bubba knew all about shrimp).
There are more ways of being rich than just with money. A person can be rich in personal experience, rich in love or friendship, etc.
And also Forrest had a lot of luck. Seems no matter what kind of shit he found himself in he came up smelling like roses.

anyway I will get paid on monday, the job I am in now is rather unique in that I am being paid by the PTA, it's a cooperative effort, so I guess I will have to bear a few minor problems. The important thing is I enjoy the teaching part of my job immensly.

Thanks for weighing in with your comment.
Let's see we got deep fried shrimp, jumbo shrimp, butterfly shrimp, .....
