I've often heard people talk about the "foreigners' ghetto(s)" in Taipei, but I haven't really heard much about where they are (aside from Tienmu that I read in a previous post). Just out of curiosity, what areas of Taipei have large numbers of foreigners?

Hardly ghettos. Lotus Hill is highrise living and reasonably priced, but quite a hike from Taipei City. TienMu is very pricey. PanCiao would be more what I would term a ghetto. Lots of probiscusally-gifted ones out that way paying a pittance for rent and getting to work in a fraction of the time those hobknobbers on the hill or in the mu take. Also, Muzha seems popular with the hippest members of the foreign community. Cool

Shida area is probably closer
to 'ghetto'. Tienmu doesn't fit
the bill. Too many rich, corporate
sponsored people. That doesn't
quite amount to 'ghetto' and in
reality, neither does the other.

Even so, it is probably closer.
