- Accomodation included? Shared or private? On campus or off campus?
Yes. Private on campus

- Plane tickets back home after 6 months or 12 months? This is standard : Half for 6 and full for 12

- Your teaching location? China

- What type of educational institution do you work for? I'm sometimes asking myself this question?????

- Degree qualified? Phd in underwater, sparrow-ass tatoeing

- Number of months, years teaching experience? 13 years

- Nationality? Aztec

- What type of visa are you working on in China? It's illegal to work on a visa!!!! You need a work permit and a foreign expert certificate

108-120 hrs/mo.
2 paid weeks per year vacation

15+ years teaching exp.
Canadian sea-floor crustacean

- What is your salary per month? 12000 - 14000 RMB Cash in hand.

- How many hours do you work per month? Did work max. 20 hours per week, 80 hours per month.

- Paid holidays? How many weeks per year? No.

- Accomodation included? Shared or private? On campus or off campus? No. Rented my own apartment.

- Plane tickets back home after 6 months or 12 months? No.

- Your teaching location? Shanghai

- What type of educational institution do you work for? Various Chinese schools, private Korean academy and Fudan University.

- Degree qualified? Yes.

- Number of months, years teaching experience? 3 years but salary never changed.

- Nationality? Australian

- What type of visa are you working on in China? I was teaching on an F visa.

'too bad not much response on this topic, Millerlong. Why not make it a one-question poll? Question
i'd be interested in knowing the demographics - what % are Americans, Canadians and British? Is there a disproportionately high number of Cameroonians teaching English in China? Do FTs migrate to coastal cities?

- How many hours do you work per month? 18 classroom hours (:45) per week.

- Paid holidays? How many weeks per year? no, except for travel bonuses. the usual holiday weeks in February, October, and Summer.

- Accomodation included, private. On campus

- Plane tickets back home after 6 months or 12 months? yes

- Your teaching location? Shandong province, a small city

- What type of educational institution do you work for? Semi-private school

- Degree qualified? Yes.

- Number of months, years teaching experience? 2 1/2 years in CHina, 3 years in USA

- Nationality? USA

- What type of visa are you working on in China? F, now Z visa. FEC and residence permit, of course.

10,500 (after tax)

18 teaching hours (although the definition of hour is stretched to its lower limits here, as each 'hour' is 35 minutes) per week, so 72 per month or so

- Paid holidays? How many weeks per year?

3 + months paid holiday

- Accomodation included? Shared or private? On campus or off campus?

Included, private, off campus.

- Plane tickets back home after 6 months or 12 months?

12 months

- Your teaching location?

Dalian

- What type of educational institution do you work for?

Primary School

- Degree qualified?

BA (Hons) French and Politics

- Number of months, years teaching experience?

3 years, 3 months

- Nationality?

British

I've never checked to the tell the truth, I've always worked for decent schools that do that stuff for me.

-Salary: 6400/ month
-24 sessions per week at 40 minutes a session
-I get paid for the national and labor day holidays and I get 2000RMB for the 10 week summer break...kind of...I get the money at the end of September
-Accommodation is included. It has gotten progressivly better from going to an on campus dorm, to a private hole in the wall (great location though) to my current huge shared apartment.
-I get 7000RMB in total after a year for the ticket home
-I'm in Shanghai
-I work for a recruiting agency that puts me in public schools
-I have a BS in molecular biology
-I only have 10 months teaching experience
-I'm American
-I have the residency visa...got upgraded from an "F" visa by the company

74 total; 48 hrs for school by contract (18- 40 minute classes per week), 8 hrs of English Activities (unable to call it English corner because of low speaking levels), 12 hrs at a language center (2- 1 1/2 classes per week), and 6 with private students (once a week- 1 1/2 hrs)

- Paid holidays? How many weeks per year?
Christmas, Thanksgiving, 30 days, and an additional 30 days due to examinations. ( I cannot give exams to students so the school says I don't have to be here; unknown bonus)

- Accomodation included? Shared or private? On campus or off campus?
Included, private 2-room suite on campus

- Plane tickets back home after 6 months or 12 months?
8000RMB after completing 10 month contract

- Your teaching location?
near Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province

- What type of educational institution do you work for?
Public Senior Middle School, private language school, and independently

Associates of Arts, seeking B.A.

And before I get to much static, thanks to some good advice recieved here, I had the "no other work" clause removed from my contract.
