Chris...why don't you sell it now, invest the profit (I guess you've made some) in an 'offshore' account in the UK and take advantage of the current interest rate rises in the UK in prep for you return to the UK in a few years?
We sold our UK propery before coming here and did the above! Property prices will change, may even bust again and then you are ready with a cash purchase or a hugh deposit........A thought anyway......... |

| Before working for my current school, though, I could never have dreamed of actually co-owning private property (even if, so far, I have been the one to contribute every jiao!), since that was something that I never did (or else could do) back home, yet people in my country are always complaining that a first property is beyond many college graduates' financial reach owing to the staggeringly high property prices, especially in London... |
Chris,
It is the same way here in the SF Bay Area. I bring in 70K + yearly and I can not afford to buy my own home! Yes, I can qualify for a mortgage but would never pay it off in my lifetime ( Average home price is near 700,000 USD) and you don't get much at that price)
Theres been a lot of negative opinions, or maybe facts ( I don't know) about your home ownership in China. But I CONGRADULATE YOU on you and your wifes purchase!
I personally bought property in Trinidad and Tobago and payed it off within 1 year ( I am broke now, but atleast I dont owe the bank nuttin).
Having a place in the Caribean is great! But I do like Asia better and will work on my pipedream (ha, ha) of having a second career and home there in the future
Once agian Chris, keep striving, play it wise man and dunno listen ta de nay sayuhs!
Blessings
JAH RASTAFARI! |
