I think it's always a positive confusing people before their morning coffee using out of context Bob Marley lyrics.

A pleasant day outside and on the cafe. Nice the board wasn't spammed by the usual offender, with the usual gibberish.

Only a couple weeks until paid holidays and the end of the teaching year! Rejoice everyone!

Enjoy,
c

This afternoon, my kids are going home early after assessment tests, there is a warm wind blowing in from Tokyo Bay, the maples are just beginning to turn, and a hot cup of tea and a sable biscuit waiting on the desk. Everything's prepped for the remainder of the week.

How cool is that?

I called up the office today expecting to be assigned my customary 4 hours work for a Non Teaching Work Day to be told my schedule was out of date and in fact today was designated a day off.

I went back to sleep.

That's positive right?

Great idea with the positive Thread. I was gonna go with "Genki Thread "but I guess this will do. Not sure if i really have anything positive to say hmmmm....... Well I've been Rejected from 3 of the major schools ( ECC, GEOS, AEON) for not having a BA degree but Nova seems to be the only company thats interested in me. I have an interview DEC 5th in my town so thats a good thing!! I hope I get the position. I'm going to ignore all the bad crap said about Nova because the pros out weigh the cons. Japan always seems to be the head of technology I have always been fascinated with Japans Video games/ robots and cool gadgets. The culture can't help but make you feel curious. *I just know I will enjoy Japan as will other potential teachers Smile

If you love it so much John, why don't you just save up some money and go?

Just a shortage of funds, A crappy low wage job and a Worthless college degree. It's taking some time to save up 3-4k for my ticket and WHV. Definitely not quitting I think its 100% worth it. There is defenitely not a shortage of jobs but not having the BA degree doesn't help either. Not so much afraid just a Nervous and super exited at the same time. Its my first time getting out of my own country and travelling this far. Yay But if Nova comes through for me Dec5th who knows maybe we could talk about this at the bar some other time around say....march or april Wink

Nice for..?

Weather is usually stable, plenty of sunshine most days, and compared to Canada almost balmy! Laughing
