Appreciate the hotel tips.
I am scheduled to arrive on Nov 22 barring any last minute miracles in Bogota.
DF memories are coming back in bits and pieces. Used to be a Bob somebody that ran a corp training co. Tough, ex-military pilot. Darryl was his Mgr.
Aphla? Alpha Lingua? ESP? These guys still around?
Look forward to meeting up with some of you. I have a lot of mgt, sales, marketing and general business experience and enjoy networking and talking business. I consider myself semi-retired but not in a financial sense.
Now, onto the weekly and monthly places to stay. Any leads I'll be glad to hear of.

No, thank you Dan. You were a big influence on me a long time ago, though you never knew it.

Bob Gaily has closed up shop I believe...used to run a school in the Zona Rosa called MIBE (Mexican International Business English I think). I sat through a meeting with him once where he told me how he hated those 'cocky Canadian types', among other opinions on Canucks that would earn *beeps* here. Then he asked where I was from.
Would you believe that a teacher who worked with us up to just two weeks ago (took off to Ghana) was a Vietnam grunt whose hash was saved in the late 60's conflict by none other than airboy Bob Gaily? Said teacher made the connection only 40 years later when he started working for Bob. Just a tidbit I picked up that stuck.
You simply must join us for a get together... |
