It seems that everything connected with this firm is wrong-as one of my French students wrote at the end of the summer course here-'bad text books, bad classroom(too hot and air-conditioning very bad) bad lessons and very expensive course-also hotel did not make any activities for young persons of our age!Teacher very nice but he was so old he could be my grand father!!'--well at least she did have something better to say about me!
The only thing I could suggest about their Moscow H.Q. is that most business lessons are held on their premises, rather than sending teachers out to firms all over the city, but I doubt if they will pay $25 per academic hour or even $20 and nobody in their right mind works for less than that nowadays there! You need to at least earn something for suffering in Moscow, especially now winter has arrived |

Maruss ia, writings of "French students", studying of "bad text books" in "bad classrooms" with "bad lessons", in "very expensive courses", and with "grand fathers" teaching ...holy cow
Is that all above in EF English First centers

A glance at the vacancies in tefl.com will reveal several other schools in Moscow who are currently recruiting, apart from the notorious three I already warned people about, such as I.P.T. run by an English guy who seems to at least offer a reasonable starting salary and even firms such as Inlingua and Denis pay a decent hourly rate!By the way, I forgot to warn people again about Oxford Crown who are definitely on the no-no list!Anyone wanting to know why can e-mail me for details of my personal experiences there(and those of several other ex-employees of theirs!)
I'm sure BELS knows what I'm talking about and I hope his school is doing well because he put in a lot of effort to get it up and running etc. |
Thank you Maruss
On its third year our school(belonging to my wife and I) is running very well with 70 students and pupils of various age groups and levels. we estimate that this figure will double by September 2007. That is not taking into consideration the number of flats, supermerkets, and leisure that are currently being developed here in Gorki 10 ready for the next year. This developement can only benefit us with the future of our local school. |
