|
|
Anyone working or have worked or know anyone who has worked for Princeton Review in Dubai? I received my contract today and its seems outrageous. 10hr work days, 6 days work week, -1400.US a month (including studio or shared apartment). Is this normal for a masters degree? This seems beyond the pale to me. Can anyone tell me if it is standard? By my calculations I am basically making $5.00 an hour. I thought for an American company I would do better. I don't even think this kind of contract would be allowed in the US. (Does a US company have to follow US standards?)
Can anyone give some feedback? Thanks |

Is this Princeton U. New Jersey, where Albert Einstein worked? or PU, Bangledesh?
Forget about it, this must be some kind of joke!

What do you think all these corporate clones are doing out here? They're interested in spreading universal enlightenment?
Yeah, right. |

It's a profit-making organisation in a low-wage environment so, yes, it's a typical contract. If you've got an MA and you want to come to the UAE, try one of the big 3 government institutions - ZU, HCT and UAEU. You can figure out what those initials stand for if you browse through this forum - you'll also find a couple more threads about Princeton Review. |

This is an American company only in name. Run. Run far, far away. |
