For kids, Dora, the Babie princesses (I have girls) the boys stuff all looks the same to me, something like Xmen, but it could be something else, I haven't paid that much attention. Kids always ask me to bring them roller blades, but that takes up a lot of luggage space! |

Xbox games...dunno what they cost en el norte, but they are expensive here. I have no idea what current titles might be. |

Don't know the ages of the boys, if there are any, but most of the ones I know - my son included - are very much into anything electronic. Nintendo DS is very popular because it can play Game Boy advance as well as Nintendo DS games. Thing is...anything electronic is usually cheaper up north. |

As far as what's NOT hot... Calgary's weather today: -25C with a windchill of -38C ... oh god I miss Chiapas |
Oh God why did I move back to Calgary? I haven't left my house in 2 days and am a little afraid to do so. Although it appears Mexico isn't to balmy right now, nothing compares to having your eyes freeze shut because it is so cold.
As far as hot toys this year my vote is for pirates and Leap Frog. |

One thing about Leap Frog toys. We have a couple, that we bought here in Mexico, and the box lead us to believe the toys were bilingual. But they aren't they are just in Spanish, and not Mexican Spanish. I'm guessing Puerto Rican or something, where do they call W "double v"? Are the ones sold in the US/Canada, bilingual? |

Don't know about Puerto Rico, but they sure do that here in Colombia. |
