Anyone know of some good blogs which are updated regularly from people currently teaching with Nova?

The last I heard of an English teacher writing a blog was that his recruiter was flown to Japan and ordered to fire him. I guess you would find information about the "japan lifestyle" but when it comes to the "job" it gets a little technically hairy.

Fired for blogging? Sad Eek.

Or perhaps other not so clear reasons? Confused

I do know of two people from Nova who blog somewhat regularly. Every Japan blog I find has spells of not being updated regularly, i hope this is bc they are busy. Laughing

I can't imagine you would be fired for blogging unless you were constantly writing blog entries that bashed your employer... And even then, you would have to specifically identify yourself and and use the name of your company.

I refuse to believe that blogging about your experiences in Japan, and sharing your photos, would get you fired, even from an eikaiwa.

check this out & you don`t have to be that specific about your job, all you need is one co-worker who would prefer to not be your co-worker.

there have also been stories in the news recently that universities & companies check facebook & myspace for new applicants. you`re not just telling your friends, you`re telling the world, & while most of what you`re sharing is boring crap it could still get you fired.
