Kentucky rocks!

My lil' brother is in medical school in New Orleans and he has said the rebuilding is taking forever around his uni but new condos and the like are sprouting up in the "poorer" areas. But crime isn't all that big in the Big Easy...so my brother says.

I think Japan makes you forget that Al Quaida, gay marriage, and murders are a part of everyday life. I love not knowing all the bad stuff that's going on in the States...is that wrong? Of course, I come home and my husband is listening to that very crappy stuff on AFN Radio--UGH!!!! Rolling Eyes

Yeah New Orleans is not that bad on crime anymore, all the criminals moved to Baton Rouge (where I live) and Houston, so I guess if we stayed in the states we might be safer in New Orleans....
