I will be entering Saudi soon and am wondering if it is OK to bring my cd collection and some DVDs (no porn). Also will my laptop be siezed and held for inspection?
Any recent experiences? |

I bring them in in my pockets. The porn I put in the drive of the laptop. Everything is subject to search. It they want to, they will take the DVCDs and give you a receipt. Then you go back to get them after a few days.
The computer? Not to worry. Someone may have had his seized for inspection, but I have never heard of such a thing. |

Do a search - this question has been asked (and answered) many times before on this board. |

Agree with Paul in Saudi.
If the number of your CD's and DVd's are less than 5 , most of the time they will not confiscate them for futher search.
As far as you laptop does not have traces of Pollonium 210 & 500 stored in it, you will be safe and OK. |

I'm white American and my wife is Filipina. I've noticed that searches are more likely to occur with Filipinos, though why this is, I can't say. I myself have never been searched, even when I was bringing over 100 DVDs from Manila.
If you really want to bring porn into the kingdom, put it on some non-DVD or non-CDROM media, such as your laptop hard drive or an external hard drive. |

Because your eyes are blue/green, and your passport is uncle Sam's, which is feared (not necessarily respected!) in SA!! In addition, Philipinos are ill-treated regardless if they hold uncle Sam passport or not!

Not always true, if they catch you with porn staff, they will make you pay heavy price! |
