I am planning trips to Hong Kong and Shanghai. Where is the largest selection of movies? |

HMV near Tsim Sha Tsui. Bootlegs - which I presume you are referring to - are few and far between here. You can pick up the odd DVD from a dodgy computer centre for 20 dollars but this is not the Third World and so there is a thing called 'copyright'. My advice would be to go into China for one of the only things it is actually worth going there for: cheap DVD 9 bootlegs! In Shenzhen a DVD9 can be as little as 10 Yuan whereas here in HK the same disc would be anything between 90 and 300 dollars., which, although cheap for a US or UK tourist, is dear compared to the bootleg maniland price. |

Way out of my range on a mainland salary. Maybe I'd better shop for books in Hong Kong, since I'm already familiar with the bookstores there, and shop for movies in Shanghai. |

ROTFL I take it you don't get out much, son!
You can get copy software/VCDs/DVDs in Sham Shui Po, Mongkok, Tsuen Wan, pretty much anywhere you like, really. |
