15 teachers and other workers were injured Monday after a school-owned bus collided with a truck. The bus was going west, and the truck was going north. This includes 1 foreign teacher, from Cameroon. An office worker is said to have died, but I am not completely sure.
The school has built a new campus about 30 minutes from the main part of the city. It is often foggy in the morning, partly due to pollution. It was slightly foggy that morning, but this did not seem to cause the wreck. The intersection that the wreck happened at does not have any traffic light. Wrecks seem to happen at that intersection frequently. |

The truly amazing thing is that we do not see stories like this more often. The driving in this country is criminal at best. I worked in Zibo last year and have experienced first hand the insanity that is rush hour there...of course, rush hour is insanity anywhere in good old China. |

I can't tell you how many times I am in a vehicle and it goes in the other opposite lane to overtake or another vehicle is coming at you at high speed in your lane.
Driving or being driven in China is a scary thing... |
