That is not paperwork.

I stand by my claim:
ALL you need is a photo, your passport and the cash.
No paperwork.
Not a form to be filled.
I know of many FTs who have taken this route.

For some reason people like Nathan and Roger want to muddy the waters.
Be careful when looking for information from this forum.

AndYouWC simply is aragumentative; maybe it can be said he has nothing to say though he must throw in his opinion. There is always some grit to be found in hollow skulls!

I stand by what I wrote previously:
You fill in an application form at your HK travel agent's - that's paperwork to me (and to many others).

BUt it's not a big hassle, admitted!

And as for the rest of my post: nothing needs elaboration, clarification or repudiation.

Ah, Roger.
You have almost made it.

First you claimed:
"Of course, for anyone to obtain an 'F' visa they have to demonstrate that they come to China in the described capacity, i.e. 'F' is for BUSINESSPEOPLE or short-term teachers; the former have to own a business in their country of residence and typically, they must supply a name card."

Then you contradicted yourself:
"Itl is tyure, though, that TRAVEL AGENTS in HK do not inspect yourcredentials"

Now you claim:
"I stand by what I wrote previously:
You fill in an application form at your HK travel agent's"

No where in this thread did you say this til now.

I am not being argumentative nor I am offering an opinion.
The fact is (as I keep saying) you can acquire an F visa sans paperwork.

Yes, you can be required to provide all the documentation.
Yes, you can be required to fill out an application form.
And yes, none of the above.

This obviously is news to some.
And was surprising to me. (Geesh, do I need to provide testimonials)

Can't you concede that this is possible?

Finally Ol' Rog leaves us with this nugget:
"And as for the rest of my post: nothing needs elaboration, clarification or repudiation."
Really?

How about this?:
"This is why I always point out that an 'F' visa obtained from the local police station is NOT the same as an 'F' visa bought in HK!"

I have asked you and I have seen others ask you as well.
What I have not seen is your explanation for this claim.

What do you know that the immigration officers apparently do not?

Umm, Malsol, could you be any more blind? You yourself are doing right now what your accusing others of. Your insulting me, and being quite superior, I think perhaps it is you who are in denial. Please point out one insult ni that thread if you would that I made. If one is as sensitive as you, breathing heavy is an insult. In reality though, insults need to be overt, not just imagined. Calling someone Neanderthal man is an insult, you need to stop blaming others for your actions. You also need to stop taking things so personally I think.

Oh, and that thread got locked because of yours and others insults, I know this for a fact, while you are just trying to deflect blame and deny the real truth, that you are a troll, and always have been. Good bye.

Was it an L, F, Or Z visa Nathan.

And-Your-WC is still being argumentative for arguments' sake. Why butt into a discussion with nothing but arguments and claims that are of no value for anyone?

The P.S.B. in the Mainland that have the power to issue you with an 'F' visa do so obnly if you meet certain requirments; if you have, for instance, a legal educational employer. Or if you are a bona fide businessman (with credentials to support that claim), you can apply for an 'F' visa.

In Hong Kong it is relatively easy to circumvent those requirments with the help of a travel agent - as said before.

I don't know what "sans paper" means in your case. Travel agents in HK won't accept your passport for a visa application if you do not fill in a form they provide.

If you do not have access to a P.S.B. that issues you with 'F' visas I suggest you shop around until you find one. I can give you the P.S.B. addresses of everty provinbcial capital and some secondary cities. They are listed in a GUIDE TO EMPLOYMENT IN CHINA... published by a SOE.
