| I'm embarrassed to be asking this, but do you need a telephone line to have Internet in your house? I thought they were doing it through Cable these days... |

For A.D.S.L you need a phone line...If you have cable you can use cable net. It cost more (so I have been told) |

In that case, does anyone know how much more cable net is than ADSL? Or any other big differences between the two? |

In my last apt. I had a package for cable tv and internet. Sorry I can't remember how much more/less it was than ADSL. But if it was outrageous I would remember.
Thinking of getting the young one hooked up early? |

| Not a bad idea, though babies tend to be more into banging on the keyboard with sticky hands, and I'm sure there must be other things they do to computers that involve spit-up, but we don't really need Internet for that. Mostly it's for me to while away these last weeks as I'll be on leave soon and I never learned how to knit-- the only reason I'm at work now is because they have Internet! |
