If any one knows of any language schools that are looking for teachers now, please could you let me know? I am doing the usual handing round my CV to schools but just thought I would post this to cover all bases.
I have a CELTA qualification. There is no desperate rush, I know it is not the busy time for EFL recruitment at the moment, but would like to start work as soon as I can.
Cheers

hello jackie,
i'd say comunicorp, although i haven't actually worked there. i did go for an interview and diane, the owner, was great. you have to commit to a certain amount of hours and they give you a contract, apparently. they are on hernan de aguierre right off tobalaba train station. easy to find and pleasant. there is a coffee shop right next to them, coffee stop i think it's called.
i'd say that march, rather than feb. would be the month everything picks up. feb. is like august in most places, chileans take their vacations then. it will be pretty lean from here on.
any more questions, i'll be glad to help,

Hi,
I dont know if youve ever heard of the institute Hamilton? I know they are looking for teachers for the Summer and 2007. Theyre apparently changing ownership and changing the name to "The English Tutor Ltda". They pay really well, around $7500/hour and are great to work for. Their email is [email protected] so maybe give them a try. Good luck! |

I agree with the koshechka. Comunicorp is a serious place.
There are other schools, some have been around for a few years. Just be careful. Not all schools pay their teachers what they promise and some don't even pay their teachers.....
Best of luck,
