|
|
Hey, everybody.
I'm working on my resume/cover letter before I apply to NOVA and I took a look at what they ask for in the online application and it says "Please paste your resume in this space or list the last three positions you have held, with dates and a brief job description". Now, not that I was planning on giving them the latter, but how important is a complete resume if all they need from you are your last three jobs? It'd be kinda nice if I could save myself the stress of writing the perfect resume if all I have to do is tell them about my recent employment history.
Also, the next section in the online application says "Please let us know why you feel you are suitable for this position". Doesn't that sort of eliminate the need for a cover letter? Again, I'm tempted to save myself the stress of writing all this and just give them what they ask for. Where's that sticky with the info on writing this stuff, anyway? I don't see it anymore.
Thanx for all the time and help. Wish me luck. |

Give them what they want. If they want a resume and a cover letter, give them a resume and a cover letter. Simple. |

You should PM a moderator about this. Someone else was asking about it.
I just took a brief look at their application form and there didn't seem to be a button to attach a resume or cover letter. Nova recruiters see hundreds of applicants a year. I think a thorough job of filling out the application form is sufficient. A recruiter probably won't bother to read your letter or resume anyway. |
