I have been reading the forum for hours, and still have these questions so here it goes.

1. I have a TEFL certificate from a university in the States. It took about a year to complete and my transcripts show the classes (with pretty good grades) Very Happy . While I am assuming this is as good as any TEFL certificate, I am really unsure. Can anyone with some knowledge please enlighten me about this? Is a TEFL certificate the same across the board, or will this be looked at differently than one if I completed it in a special TEFL program? Is this considered better, not as good or the same?

2. I am finishing my MBA (Master's of Business Administration) with a concentration in Finance at a reputable university here in the States. I am assuming this may qualify me for some jobs not available to the average bear, but I am once again uncertain. What kinds of jobs (if any) does that qualify me for there in Thailand? I would be particularly interested in teaching some business English at a corporation, or something along those lines. Money is certainly an issue, but lifestyle is also important.

If anyone has a similar background or some insight to where I should be looking and what types of jobs I should be looking for, please respond.

I just returned from a holiday in China and Thailand and fell in love with the LOS. China was not for me, too bad I have been studying Chinese for three years Surprised . Now it's time to start learning Thai! Very Happy

Thanks in advance!
