Howdie Y'all,
I'm in New York for a week - spent 6 months in Mexico, soon to be on my way to Spain. I don't know how many of teachers are here but does anyone fancy meeting up for a coffee / beer?

Hey duck,
Sorry I'm in the "Great Plains," almost to Colorado (where my folks live).
However, there is one regular poster ("Lynn"? or "Chris"? maybe) who is in New York, I believe. Where in NY, no sabe. Lo siento.
Maybe send em a PM?
Tell us your impressions of the Big Apple after a few days there, OK?
Whereabouts in Spain?
Have fun & Good luck in your next venture! |

Hey J-Pop,
Thanks for the advice, I've spoken to Lynn. I've seen London, Mexico City and now New York. This place is like a dream, I can tell already I'm going to find it hard to leave. I started walked around Broadway (were I'm staying at the moment) as soon as I arrived. I've already found Central Park, Macey's, Grand Central Terminal. Oh, and yes, I saw Britney at the MTV2 studios
I don't have anything lined up in Spain; I'm just going to play it by ear. The plane arrives in Madrid, so this looks like a good starting point

Sounds like you are having--and will continue to have--a blast!
But, hey . . . don't have too much fun now

Fun. Suddenly, I really wish I was there, rather than here! Sometimes those spontaneous happenings end up being as much fun, or more, than the ones we so plan for!! Helps keep the expectations down to a tolerable level, yes?!
But, though I wish otherwise--no can join you guys: gotta maintain SOME semblance of self-control & not go too deeply into debt!! ha!
But, seriously, this (mainly international) job hunting is getting old, like real quick!! Hanging out in NYC for a few days sounds so much more appealing.
Then you're off to Spain (assuming you leave NYC! ) Cool. Way cool.
Hasta la vista.
Cheers, |
