Hi there -
I'm a 24 y.o. guy currently living in San Francisco who will be packing up and moving to BsAs in mid-March. I've been investigating housing options a bit and I'm planning on finding an apartment after arriving.
I wanted to know if there is anyone out there who will need a roommate. I'm open to moving into someone's already-established apartment or to looking for housing with another person or 2 upon arrival (though the garantia issue seemingly makes the latter quite difficult).
I want to spend around $200 (600 pesos) per month. I'm leaning towards the Palermo area but am not set against other areas.
Please let me know if you're interested, and we can exchange contact info and begin a dialogue.
Thanks,
Matt |

I'm off to Madrid in March and my roommates have already started looking for someone to take my place but I want to try another Spanish city. I'm looking forward to Madrid but kinda sad to leave BsAs and the good friends I've made here. But ....
I don't know if you're coming over to BsAs because of a course or just plain relocating but if you're on a course, ask your school for options.
I did the EBC TEFL course last year and for the first two weeks I was in temporary lodgings. By the end of the course, I was lucky enough to have moved to an apartment in Belgrano, shared with 2 others from the same class. I was really kinda lucky because we're all friends and the apartment is not bad. We pay 600 pesos each, utilities extra. The way we're getting people asking to see the room, they might have a roommate before I even reach Ezeiza airport! They've got an ad posted in the school so hopefully they find someone as nice as moi! Also the school's admin staff and teachers keep in touch with us grads so they know of people moving on, returning home, looking for roommates, etc, etc. So ask your school if they have some info on guys looking. They're should have some kind of info on what their grads are up to!
My 2 cents ... go for temporary lodgings for a week, 2 weeks , because it's really better to see the apartment you're renting before committing. Also you can try craigslist, have seen them mentioned on the forum. enjoy bsas! |
