Is it worth taking up this job? Salary's 1400 a month plus accomodation. The contract says 28 contact hours a week but actual hours are like 22 per week. 6 days a week, Mondays off plus 12 off days a year.
Is the cost of living much lower in Can Tho compared to HCMC? |

sounds ok. But I would try to get more specifics.
What is the exact schedule ? What time are the classes ? How much time are you required to be there if not teaching ? What about visa's and work permits? How much are they going to help for apartment ?
I would push for specifics and the way the school will answer these questions will tell you alot about them. But 28 hours over 6 days seems like alot to me. I personally would want 2 consecutive days off to do some exploring of traveling.
Also the 12 days off a year sounds like the Tet holiday that everyone is off anyway. If this is all they are offering for vacation time, I would skip it or go part-time. |

As per the labor law the following are the absolute minimum holiday entitlements:
National holidays: 8
Vacation: 12
If you are working 6 days a week and only receive the above holidays it means that you will hardly ever be able to get out of Can Tho. Go for more vacation. |

Can Tho is not all that interesting to be in practically every day of the year. |
