About to go to Ecuador, I am looking for kind of volunteering programs; I registered to th WWOOF independants organisation. Anyone knows if the address they give are alright? Any addresses of volunteer orgnisation in environment/ecology/cultural exchange in Ecuador?

As my ability to speak spanish is close to absent, i wanna take some lessons, before starting anything, in Ecuador. Any not really expansive-but-nice school? Any city recomended? (dont ask me why Ecuador, I dont really know why myself)

Cheers

www.eilecuador.org

It's where I work, but the areas you're interested in aren't in my department.

Spanish classes not too expensive. They offer package volunteer programs as well, which are quite good, but some find them pricey. But finding a volunteer project in Quito won't be hard once you're on the ground.

Best,

Justin

It was many years ago now (in 1996) but I worked and studied at The Centro de Estudios Interamericanos in Cuenca. http://www.cedei.org/
and I highly recommend the place.

There is a decent choice of grass-roots volunteer programs in environment/ecology here:
www.volunteersouthamerica.net

For a pleasant city in Ecuador to learn Spanish, try Banos

How about World Teach?

Have you made it to Equador yet? If so, how is it?
