Do I need a degree to get a work permit in Sri Lanka?

I have the chance of a job in Sri Lanka but don't have a degree. Do you, as in many other countries, need a degree to get a work permit out there?

I realise I can work without a permit but this particular job would involve getting a permit.

Any help greatly appreciated.
