hmmm. quiz master vs. internationally-recognised world-renowned musical genius? Well that's just my humble opinion. I could see how many people would be put off by her, but in my mind she's up there with Bob Dylan, Hendrix, and Gershwin.

She's a tru genre defining şnnovator. You only have to look at poeple like Joanna Newsom, Regina Spektor, Surfjan Stevens, Cat Power and bands like Goldfrapp, The Avalanches, Swan Lake, and the Kalxtons to a certain degree to realise how much of an influence she's had over alternative music. her attitude towards the creation of music has really changed peoples pespective on pop music as art. "Post" is one of the finest cross-genre records ever.

I saw Dylan live about 8 years ago....I fell asleep during the concert. I was really tired from work, and we were sitting right up the back of a big tennis stadium. Pretty pathetic form, though. Embarassed

I saw him at some festival in '94 I think. He was brilliant, although I can't remember much else about it.

I dare say it was over two decades. 1969 and 1970? The Doors, The Move and an early incarnation of T-Rex played then as well, is that right? No Love though. The Isle of Wight Festival is now sponsored by Nokia I do believe, how the times are-a-changing.

And because the thread where David Crosby came up was locked, I just want to mention that David Crosby and I were expelled from the same high school, though in different decades and for different reasons...

What the hell was everyone doing during my Internet blackout to get all those threads locked?!
