debating on phillippines or indonesia for the next travel destination and can't decide which one to pick. i've got a month to burn (June) and wanna get in some nice sun and sand. both places got it, so the question is:

1) which is a cheaper place to party/travel? i'm a shoestringer type

2) fun things to do?? how's the shopping? similar to bangkok? or more limited? any crazy/cool stuff to pick up in indo?

3) outdoor activities? average price to do scuba PADI cert training? possible to get sailing lessons too (wanna own a yacht/schooner someday... pipe dream i know)???

4) dangers? transportation (comfort/cost)?
