				| Online teaching? Has anyone tried this? I've seen two advertisements regarding teaching students in China and Korea online using a webcam and headset. I'm new to ESL/EFL and I'm looking at it as a way to get some experience after I've finished my CELTA and to get some money coming in. Any thoughts/experiences?...[/b] | |

				| Don't know about those countries, but in Japan some companies offer such lessons. NOVA for one. To set yourself up to do such a thing will obviously require the hardware and software, not to mention the marketing savvy to get into a market that doesn't speak your language. If you plan to do such a thing from your home country with clients from other countries, another hurdle would be the time difference and pay system. I have friends who tried simple video communications with Skype, and they discovered problems when one person has a Mac and the other has a PC, so there may be technological issues, too. | |

				| I would like to get into online teaching. I've done some distance teaching before. I'm sure it will become more common in the future. | |
