Actually I was being quite serious. As crazy as it may seem, I DO know people who probably couldn't tell the difference between Japanese and Latin., or perhaps Latin and another language. Not to imply that anyone on Dave's in particular is such a person, but I thought to myself, "Meh, better to include it -- just in case..."
