I just want to take a moment to thank those of you who generously devote your time to helping people out in here. My girlfriend and I were recently accepted by NOVA and we are quite pleased. Much of the advice and bits of info I have aqquired up until now, have been from within this forum. I look forward to my Japan arrival in June and to meeting some of you whom are actually in the mix of things. So thank you once again(especially to the regulars who put me in my place when I came with attitude) and I wish you all the best of fortune.

Sincerely,

TOBrian

Wow, this is apparently a dangerous place for compliments. Well not to worry. I accept the fact that some are pleasant and some are not.

....Thanks Furious

Don't worry, stillnosheep is the real softy. He cries at reruns of The Littlest Hobo. The trick here is to remember that no matter how much you get flamed, what can they really do to you (these self-appointed custodians of a nation)?

The sheep have finally turned up then? I'm happy for you. They'll keep you warm on these cold winter nights.

No, it doesn't sound like my kind of thing. How was it?

Superb!

Varus aka scipio posted purporting to be from TVNZ offering 200,000 Yen to interview suitable NZ ex-pats in Japan.

Clownpuncher aka Iamjapan took the bait and gave up his address & phone number etc in PMs and phone calls at which point he was blackmailed with having his details oposted online if he didn't promise to stop trollin, flamin, abusin eku and generally being a jerk.

CP half caved in, the mods took the thread down (after the event) and CPs sidekick jesus! has now launched oneman campaign vs varus on behalf of all the supposed punters who have lost their faith in the pot coz of varus' evil underhand tactics.

Totally puerile of course but unbelievable how CP feel for the lure of the filthy lucre and the lame excuses as to why New Zealand Television were communicating with him solely via PMs and cellphones, rather than via emails from a proper website.
.

You probably had to have been there; watchin the minutes count down, jesus! go into overdrive and various 'new members' suddenly pop put of the wooodwork claiming to be lawyers and threatening dire retribution on Varus and Gpot admin if they did not prevent the publishing of CP's phone number etc etc.

The lengths we go to to keep ourselves amused during these long winter nights...
