I hear that there are new age limits for foreigners entering Middle Eastern countries to teach, and have three questions on the topic:
1. What are the age limits in Oman, UAE, and Bahrain (men/women);
2. once in and under the wire, can a teacher transfer jobs within the country after having reached or passed the age limit; and
3. might that teacher renew an existing contract once over the age limit, but already within the country/learning institution?

Hi,
I was employed to work here in Oman nearly 2 years ago. I was 60+ (60 is the officila age limit here) when I signed the first contract and the second one has been renewed automatically.
I know others older than me who are, like myself, employed as teachers.
There is a great shortage of experienced and well qualified teachers here in Oman, so I am sure they are turning a blind eye to the rules.

Hey Flutter
Since you seem to be asking about multiple countries, perhaps you should post this to the general board.
Perhaps if a MOD notices, they could move this over.
