WHen entering the country, if you have a job lined up, your return ticket is over six months, and you have a 60 day visitor visa--what do you tell the customs officers? Do you tell them I am here for work or somehting else?

i just smiled and said "ni hao"

odds are the customs officer will not speak english so you wont have much explanation to do...they'll look you over, check your paperwork, stamp your visa and be on your way....

again, TiT (this is taiwan), so be prepared to explain that you're visiting friends/vacationing/etc., but dont sweat it, it goes a lot smoother than you expect....

i was sweating bullets cause i came in with a one way ticket, no return, and they just waved us thru, customs took no more than 2 minutes...

If I buy a on-ward/outbound bound ticket to H.K or elsewhere w/ a 2mth stopover in TW, (depending on the airline deals), will customs be fine with that as long as I show them 'intent' to leave?

Yes. That's how it should be done. But it is neither Customs nor Immgration who ask for proof of onward journey. It is the airlines themselves.

Hope this was helpful.

On the entry form, what address will customs accept if I'm not sure where or which hostel I will be staying when I arrive.
