Hello is there anyone out there who knows the work situation around Shanghai and especially in Suzhou.
Hello I have been teaching in China for two years and now I'm in Guangdong teaching in a town called Dongguan.
The money's good and my life isn't too bad but Dongguan is a big industrial town and the culture of the people here is really low. They work, make money go back to their own province as soon as they have the opportunity 'cause they all hate dongguan.
I am thinking about going to Suzhou its developing faster industrially than Dongguan I hear and its a bit more cultural. I hear the people around Shanghai are more sophisticated but I don't really know. The people here are too conservative, especially the women. Hey! I'm not a sleaze bag but I like living in China and I'm a young man and I need some companionship and there aren't exactly many foreign girls in China to choose from are there?
But I have experience of going to places to teach where there are too many foreigners and not enough work to go around (I spent 6 months in Shen Zhen for example and could never find enough work). I'm guessing that Suzhou being a famous scenic spot in China may be the same.
At the moment I am making about 12,000 RMB a month and I only have to do 20 hours a week to do this.
What would my situation be like in and around the Suzhou and Shanghai area?
Any information you could grant me would be appreciated.
P.S. I am not woza 17 I'm still waiting for. |

Sorry if I am going to upset your sensitivities, mate, but I do think if your face looks so repulsive that you can't befriend a a single person in Dongguan then you are not going to succeed in Suzhou either! They seemed to me a bit more discerning there - and I was befriending a Suzhou woman.
How about writing an advert? |
